Montgomery County Police say that a man was shot in an attempted robbery that occurred early Friday morning in downtown Silver Spring.
Officers responded at approximately 12:50 a.m. Friday in the area of 13th St. and Kennett St. (in front of the Days Inn), according to an MCPD spokesperson. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim reported that it was an attempted robbery.
The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition and there is no suspect in custody.
