The winning streak of Silver Spring transportation planner Kevin Belle on Jeopardy! ended on Wednesday with $43,000 across four appearances on the show.
Final Jeopardy! under ‘Business and Social Media’ read: “On Twitter in 2023, this food franchise followed an exact total of 11 accounts that included Victoria Beckham, Mel B & Herb Alpert.” Belle incorrectly answered with, “What is McCormick’s?” and wagered $5,000, leaving him with $1,000 in the final episode of his run (video below).
Last week on the show, Belle revealed that he also performs drag under the name Whiskey Ginger, named after his favorite cocktail. “…I also host trivia online as Whisky Ginger on Zoom, I picked it up during the pandemic,” Belle said. “…and you’ve got a very talented makeup crew here Ken, and I was hoping maybe one day we could convince you to do it here as well.”
According to The Sun, Jennings laughed and collected himself to respond that he had a name in mind: “I was trying to think of a good Jeopardy!-themed drag name. Maybe Della Double?” “Miss-ed Information might be nice too,” Belle replied.
Currently, Belle is employed as a project manager at Great American Rail-Trail, where he is responsible for building a trail used by cyclists and pedestrians across the country. Previously, he served as a transportation planner for the City of Rockville from 2013 to 2016, according to MyMCMedia.
The Jeopardy! episodes were the last to be aired before co-host Ken Jennings takes a long hiatus; Mayim Bialik will be hosting the show for the next four months.
