La Casita Pupuseria & Market will expand to Laurel this fall, according to an announcement on the restaurant’s Instagram account.
The restaurant will be located in the former home of Chicken Loco and CJ Ferrari’s at 14311 Baltimore Ave., according to Maryland business records.
“Yes, we are super excited to finally be able to reveal after a long project that hopefully by Fall 2023 we will be able to serve the greater Laurel area right on Baltimore Ave!”, the announcement reads. “Please follow for continued information and we will keep working hard to be ready for you!”
La Casita originally opened in the Long Branch neighborhood of Silver Spring in 2002 and has since expanded to locations in Gaithersburg, Germantown, the La Cosecha food hall, and Nationals Park, as well as a food truck. Washington Post food critic Tim Carman named the restaurant “One of the Best Places to Get Breakfast in the Middle of the Afternoon” in 2021.
