Awdamet Market and Adulis Coffee & Roastery are now open in downtown Silver Spring.
In April, we reported that Awdamet Market would be opening at 8202 Georgia Ave., adjacent to Patient First and Third Hill Brewing. According to Robert Dyer, the shop is now open and offers “standard convenience store items, snacks, and groceries, as well as Ethiopian specialties.”
Awdamet Market is also adjacent to Nazret Market, which opened in 2016 at 8120 Georgia Ave.
Adulis Store owner Dinberu Melakehiwot opened Adulis Coffee and Roastery in May at 7825 Eastern Ave. Besides serving Ethiopian coffee roasted and packed on-site, the shop also serves breakfast and lunch items such as bagels, tuna melts, roast beef, black forest ham, and turkey sandwiches, as well as salads.
According to Google, Adulis Coffee & Roastery’s operating hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
