J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse will be adding an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet to its offerings beginning Sunday, July 23.
As a result of the success of their Father’s Day brunch, which was received enthusiastically according to the restaurant, J.Hollinger’s has added the buffet to its regular menu. There are a number of house-made items on the menu, including slow-roasted ribeye with fresh herbs and garlic, honey-fried chicken, house-cured gravlax, crab-stuffed deviled eggs, brioche French toast with local berries, frittatas with local eggs, cherry tomatoes, basil, candy onions, and fontina, among others.
In addition to oyster shooters made with fresh oysters from the Chesapeake Bay, there is a Bloody Mary bar, fresh sangria, sparkling cocktails, and a selection of caffeinated cocktails using fresh espresso and teas.
During brunch, the raw bar menu is also available a la carte.
Pricing is $35 per person; children ages five to twelve are $16; and children ages four and under are free of charge. The brunch buffet will be available Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Owned by Jerry Hollinger of The Hollinger Group (The Daily Dish, The Dish and Dram), J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse opened in May of last year in the former home of The Classics at 8606 Colesville Rd. in downtown Silver Spring. In addition to Eater naming the restaurant to its Essential Restaurants list earlier this month, Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema praised J. Hollinger’s in his 2022 review, noting that the restaurant “serves up accessible luxury”.
