Uniqlo is set to open its Downtown Silver Spring store at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 25, according to the location’s Google listing.
As we reported earlier this month, the store has installed exterior signage, seemingly accelerating its opening ahead of its originally anticipated fall opening date.
A number of positions were posted in July for the upcoming store, including Retail Supervisor in Training, Visual Merchandising Associate, Full-Time and Part-Time Retail Sales Associates, and Retail Alterations Specialist. Candidates interested in applying can visit the company’s website.
The Downtown Silver Spring location will be Uniqlo’s fifth in the area, joining Tysons, Fair Lakes, North Bethesda, and Union Station.
The space at 914 Ellsworth Dr. was formerly home to retailer Ulta Beauty, which relocated in 2020 to 8510 Fenton St. in the same development. XOA Lifestyle also occupied the space for a short time before closing in November 2021.
