All Set Restaurant & Bar joins J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse, Matchbox, and The Daily Dish for this year’s Summer Restaurant Week, running from August 28 to September 3.
During the annual event, organized by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington, more than 150 restaurants will be offering $25 lunch and brunch menus, as well as $40/55 dinner menus.
All Set offers a special $55 three-course menu featuring contemporary twists on seasonal seafood dishes. Chef Ed Reavis’ menu “represents the best of the Mid-Atlantic region, featuring regional fruits and vegetables and meat sourced locally,” according to a press release.
For the first course, diners can choose from an Oyster Rockefeller with creamed spinach, bacon, orange, and herb crumb, corn chowder with potatoes and turkey bacon, or a fresh Watermelon Salad with arugula, mint, tomato, raisins, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
For the main course, guests may choose from three options: Seared Scallops served with carrot puree, smoked crispy mushrooms, and bacon jam, 14-ounce Pork Chops served with broccolini, wild rice, and peach chutney or the 12-ounce New York Strip Frites with herb parmesan fries, summer green salad, and hollandaise.
As a final course, guests may choose from the classic Summer Berry Shortcake, which consists of a buttermilk scone, an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich featuring dark and milk chocolate chips, brown sugar, and vanilla gelato, or Chef’s choice of Sorbet.
In addition to providing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, All Set also offers wines, seasonal beers, specialty cocktails, and soft drinks to complement the patron’s meal.
During Restaurant Week, All Set will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations can be secured via All Set’s Tock page.
Additionally, J. Hollinger’s $40 3-course dinner menu features starters like corn chowder made with fresh local corn, mixed peppers, candy onions, new potatoes and fresh herbs, and mains like Blackened Faroe Island Salmon with summer succotash and citrus beurre blanc, Rohan Duck Confit with sweet potato puree, petit salad, toasted almonds, pine nuts, summer berries, and a port-rosemary reduction, and Grilled Flat Iron Steak with whipped potatoes and grilled summer vegetables.
There will also be a $25 three-course lunch menu available at J. Hollinger’s in honor of Restaurant Week, according to a press release.
Matchbox will offer a $25 two-course lunch menu and a $40 three-course dinner menu with an optional $25 three-course wine pairing, and The Daily Dish will offer a $40 dinner menu (lunch to be determined).
