Champions Sports Bar is on the verge of being sold and will become Mercury Lounge, according to a report from The MoCo Show.
In a recent listing, the bar was offered for sale for $185,000 because the owner was relocating, marketed as a turnkey opportunity to acquire a fully functional sports bar.
Champions Sports Bar opened at 9433 Georgia Ave. in October 2020, replacing Action House Vape. The MoCo Show reported at the opening that the restaurant had more than 10 TVs, with the menu featuring traditional bar food with a Latin twist, including Tequeños, Tuna Wraps, Pastrami Sandwiches, and more.
An application by Teko Clavet for the transfer of a liquor license to Mercury Lounge will be heard by the county’s Board of License Commissioners on October 19 at 10:30 a.m.
