Tacos Way Near Opening in Downtown Silver Spring

Tacos Way Mexican Grill appears to be near its opening in downtown Silver Spring.

In August, we reported that construction was underway at the upcoming Tacos Way restaurant in the Arrive Silver Spring apartment building, which was previously home to iStar Coffee at 8777B 1st Ave. Exterior signage and interior fixtures have been installed since our last report.

Silver Spring will be the second Tacos Way location; the first opened in Cockeysville last year. A Tacos Way representative told Patch that the restaurant is a taqueria and serves quesadillas, tacos, taco salads, and other Mexican dishes.

In addition to Tacos Way, Carlos Ulloa owns Mezcal Mexican Grill, located both in Owings Mills and Lutherville.

Tacos Way management did not respond to emails regarding the Silver Spring location’s opening date. The Source will update as more information becomes available.

Tacos Way Mexican Grill is part of a wave of restaurants opening in downtown Silver Spring in the coming months, including Commas, Java Nation, Outback Steakhouse, Prime Coffee & Bakery, Solaire Social, Taco Bell Cantina, and TCBY.
