Police: Third Bonifant Street Murder Suspect Arrested, Fourth Remains at Large

Montgomery County Police say that a third suspect wanted in connection with the March 5 shooting death of Deandre Keith Ellis has been arrested.

Butler Township Police located D’Andre Lukes in Drums, Pennsylvania, and took him into custody. He is currently being held in Pennsylvania awaiting extradition to Montgomery County, according to an MCPD press release.

Ellis was shot and killed inside a car outside of the Sweet Sweet Kitchen in the 900 block of Bonifant Street in downtown Silver Spring. A fourth suspect, 24-year-old D’Angelo Holley, remains at large.

Kajohn McCombs and Ahmahd McCombs, both 22 years old, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder on March 14 for their alleged involvement in Ellis’ death, and are currently being held without bond. Lukes and Holley were charged with first-degree murder on October 19, MCPD said.
