Nash & Smash, a restaurant that offers Nashville hot chicken sandwiches and smash burgers, is preparing to open a new location in Silver Spring, according to a report from The MoCo Show.
The Aldie, Va.-based chain has leased space #10 at 10121 Colesville Rd. in the Woodmoor Shopping Center, taking over the location that was most recently occupied by Subway, situated between Bento Express and Woodmoor Cleaners.
Subway is listed as temporarily closed on Yelp and Google with a reopening date of January 3, 2024, but the Nash & Smash signage on the door and the restaurant’s listing on Woodmoor Shopping Center’s website indicate otherwise. This was confirmed by Brian Hakans of @silverspringeats on Instagram.
Nash & Smash has been searching for locations to open its first restaurants in the area over the past year, according to McLean, Va.-based commercial real estate company Rappaport:
Nash & Smash keeps the menu simple: Nashville-style fried chicken sandwiches and smash-burgers along with creative sides and drinks. What makes this concept extra special is the use of locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, making Nash & Smash a true farm-to-table dining experience.
No opening schedule has been announced yet. The Source will provide updates as more information becomes available.
