Metro has announced that the year-plus escalator replacement project at the Silver Spring station is now complete.
Work began last year at the north entrance between East-West Highway and Second Ave. in downtown Silver Spring, followed by the replacement of the three escalators at the south entrance.
The final escalator replacement was completed this week at the south entrance of the station.
