Johnny Ray’s Sultry Soul Food, based in Sterling, Va., is set to open a new location in downtown Silver Spring, according to a reader tip that was confirmed by the restaurant this afternoon.
The space at 923 Sligo Ave., next to The Nora School and Capital Aikikai, was previously occupied by BiBim Korean Restaurant and Sligo Cafe.
Johnny Ray’s has offered catering services in the region since 2011 and was awarded the title of Best Southern Food Spot in Virginia by Eat This, Not That:
