In Custody: Fourth Suspect Linked to Bonifant Street Homicide Arrested

Montgomery County Police have arrested the fourth suspect sought in connection with the fatal shooting of Deandre Keith Ellis on March 5, 2023.

Ellis was shot and killed inside a car parked outside the Sweet Sweet Kitchen, located in the 900 block of Bonifant Street in downtown Silver Spring.

According to an MCPD press release, D’Angelo Holley was taken into custody today in Montgomery County following an extensive search since the shooting incident. Major Crimes detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Holley on October 19, 2023.

The 24-year-old, whose address is unknown, was transferred to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit where he was formally charged with first-degree murder based on the arrest warrant served to him. The other three suspects linked to Ellis’s shooting death, namely Kajohn McCombs, Ahmahd McCombs, and D’Andre Lukes, have already been apprehended and are currently being detained without bond.

Holley is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
