A pedestrian died after they were struck by two vehicles in Montgomery Hills on Tuesday night.
A Montgomery County Police spokesperson reported last night that at around 8:04 p.m., 3rd District officers and the county’s Fire & Rescue Service were sent to the 9500 block of Georgia Ave. following a pedestrian collision. The initial details suggest that the pedestrian was hit by two vehicles, resulting in the pedestrian’s death at the scene.
According to NBC4 Washington, the pedestrian was struck near the intersection of Georgia Ave. and Flora Lane. One of the involved cars remained at the location, while detectives were working to determine if the other driver fled. Georgia Ave. was closed in both directions.
MCPD said that the pedestrian’s identity will be disclosed once the next of kin has been notified. Those with any information regarding the incident are asked to contact Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives at (240) 773-6620.
