Police: 17-Year-Old Injured in Long Branch Shooting

A 17-year-old male sustained injuries in a shooting incident on Friday night in the Long Branch neighborhood of Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Police.

An MCPD spokesperson reported that around 11:27 p.m. on Friday, officers were dispatched to the 8500 block of Glenview Ave. following a shooting incident. According to the preliminary investigation, a 17-year-old male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body by one of two male suspects in the same block. The victim fled to Browning Ave., where he was located by officers and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue personnel and received medical attention.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two suspects remain at large, according to MCPD.
