The Silver Spring Arts and Entertainment District has released its spring guide, which showcases a diverse array of activities and destinations in downtown Silver Spring, tailored to entertaining adults and children this season.
“If there is any place that knows how to celebrate spring, it is one that has it engrained in its name,” County Executive Marc Elrich said in a press release. “I appreciate the efforts of the Silver Spring Arts and Entertainment District to offer a diversity of fun and free activities over the upcoming months. As the weather warms up, I hope everyone throughout our County and region consider exploring Silver Spring this season.”
For adults, the District offers a multitude of recreational, entertainment, and culinary experiences. Commemorating its fifth anniversary, Silver Branch Brewing invites patrons to join the celebration alongside their ongoing Tuesday Night Pizza, Trivia, and Wednesday Braniac events.
Puzzle enthusiasts can challenge themselves at Big Escape Rooms. The basketball room caters to first-timers and families, while the Clown and Outbreak rooms provide a thrilling experience for seasoned escapers.

Music fans can indulge at the Bump ‘n Grind kiosk inside the Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library, featuring coffee and vinyl records. The Record Exchange, Joe’s Record Paradise, and Mojomala offer extensive collections of vinyl records for browsing and purchasing. Live music enthusiasts can enjoy national acts at The Fillmore Silver Spring, local bands at the American Legion on most Saturdays, and various bars and restaurants across Silver Spring showcasing live entertainment.
For those seeking to hone their musical skills, Levine Music and School of Rock offer lessons ranging from classical to rock genres.

Those preferring a more leisurely pace can savor brunch at establishments like The Breakfast Club, which serves all-day brunch (and occasional midnight brunch), or McGinty’s Public House, offering a full Irish breakfast throughout the day. All Set Restaurant & Bar presents upcoming jazz and drag brunches, complemented by an intricate rope art installation by BROCOLOCO.
Downtown Silver Silver Spring hosts the weekly FRESHFARM Farmers Market and the forthcoming Spring Makers Market. Film enthusiasts can explore the latest art films, retrospectives, and international film festivals at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center. At the same time, the Regal Majestic offers blockbuster and IMAX screenings.

The Round House Theatre Education Center offers the Days Off! program for families with children, providing entertainment during school breaks. Dave and Buster’s at Ellsworth Place offers video and arcade-based games suitable for adults and children. Both CREATE Arts Center and Arts on the Block offer visual art classes and craft workshops.
The new Silver Spring Recreation and Aquatic Center caters to active pursuits, featuring a splash area, slides, a climbing wall, and lap lanes. It also offers drop-in basketball, pickleball, volleyball, badminton, and futsal sessions. An indoor play area ensures entertainment on inclement weather days.
