Police Arrest Suspect Wanted for Attempted Sexual Assault in Silver Spring

Montgomery County Police have announced the arrest of 27-year-old Christopher Love in connection with an attempted sexual assault in Silver Spring.

The arrest took place on Wednesday, May 1st.

According to an MCPD news release, Love allegedly assaulted and attempted to sexually assault a woman in her Second Avenue home on April 23rd. Detectives from the Repeat Offender Unit and the 1st and 3rd District Special Assignment Teams located Love in the 11400 block of Lockwood Drive in White Oak and took him into custody.

Love, who has no known address, now faces charges of attempted first-degree rape, home invasion, first and second-degree assault, and third-degree sex offense. He is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, according to MCPD.
