Montgomery County Police have identified Quincy Johnson of Takoma Park and D’Andre Wint of Lanham as the two 20-year-old men who were fatally shot on Sunday evening at Nolte Local Park near downtown Silver Spring.
According to a press release issued Tuesday afternoon, Montgomery County Police and Maryland National Capital Park Police officers responded to the 200 block of Denver Road around 6:57 p.m. on Sunday. MCPD initially said in a statement issued Sunday night that the shooting took place in the 500 block of Thayer Avenue, according to MoCo360.

Upon arrival, officers found Quincy Johnson and D’Andre Wint, both 20 years old, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, Johnson and Wint were pronounced dead at the scene. According to MCPD, no suspects are currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
The families of Johnson and Wint have started GoFundMe campaigns to cover memorial expenses.
