Legendary Band The Nighthawks to Headline Taste of Wheaton 2024

Taste of Wheaton returns this Sunday after being canceled last year due to contractual issues.

Wheaton’s signature event kicks off at 11 a.m. with local blues/roots rock band The Nighthawks performing at Marian Fryer Town Plaza until noon. Attendees of all ages can look forward to various delicious foods, live music, dance performances by local artists, and an artisan market curated by FAsMarketplace will be available for shopping.

Additionally, the event will feature kids’ rides and an arts and crafts area managed by the Wheaton crafts shop Tru2Hue.

Mid-County United Ministries, Wheaton’s local food pantry, will host a beer and wine garden, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the organization. Attendees are encouraged to bring shelf-stable foods to support the pantry.

“The Taste of Wheaton festival is a wonderful opportunity to experience our vibrant community, celebrate our diverse cultures and enjoy the amazing array of ethnic food and live entertainment by local performers,” County Executive Marc Elrich said in a press release. “Come experience the best of Wheaton and support our local businesses during a day filled with fun activities for all ages.”
