The Spring Street Bridge in downtown Silver Spring will close this week for replacement as part of Purple Line construction.
The bridge will undergo demolition and replacement starting on Friday, June 7. Due to the closure, traffic will be redirected around the construction site. Ride On bus routes 1, 5, 11, 18, and 28 will be detoured until the bridge reopens, which is expected in January 2025.
