What was once thought to be the opening of TCBY at the former Smoothie King location in downtown Silver Spring will now be an ice cream and sweet shop called Lil’ Sumthin’ Sweet.
According to the shop’s Instagram profile, Lil’ Sumthin’ Sweet will offer “something for everyone,” including ice cream, cakes, pies, coffee, and more. An opening timeline for the shop at 8563 Fenton St. has not been announced.
Smoothie King closed in 2022 after eviction filings claimed the tenants had not paid rent from October 2021 to March 2022, totaling $23,500.
