Montgomery County Police are searching for suspects in a shooting Sunday evening that injured a man at the Taco Bell Cantina in downtown Silver Spring, according to reports.
MoCo360 reported Sunday night that police received a report of a shooting shortly after 6 p.m. at the restaurant at 8662 Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring. Responding officers found a bullet casing in the restaurant, according to radio traffic.
Police said via email that officers from the 3rd District were sent to respond to a shooting in the 8600 block of Colesville Road at 6:03 p.m. on Sunday. Shortly after the shooting, a man arrived at Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
No one is in custody at this time, MCPD said.
Taco Bell Cantina opened last March, replacing Pollo Campero, which closed in late 2021.
