Johnny Ray’s Sultry Soul Food: Sterling Shuts, Silver Spring Stays Open

Johnny Ray’s Sultry Soul Food has closed its Sterling, Va. restaurant near Dulles Airport on Executive Drive and consolidated operations to its downtown Silver Spring location.

The restaurant did not provide a reason for closing the Sterling location. In an announcement posted to Instagram on Tuesday night, the restaurant stated, “We ask that you continue to support our Silver Spring, MD location as we continue to serve the DMV with great food and hospitality.”

The downtown Silver Spring location opened last May at 923 Sligo Ave., in the former home of BiBim Korean Restaurant and Sligo Cafe.
