A motorcyclist died in a collision in the area of Lockwood Drive and Columbia Pike in White Oak on Saturday evening, according to Montgomery County Police.
The incident occurred around 5:52 p.m. when officers from the 3rd District and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement issued by the police on Saturday night.
The northbound lanes of Columbia Pike were closed at Hillwood Drive while police investigated the crash.

Police said the Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this collision and will release more information, including the motorcyclist’s name, after proper notification of the next of kin.
