Casseroles for a Cause: Join the Fourteenth Campaign to Support Shepherd’s Table

Silver Spring Cares has brought back Casseroles for a Cause, which aims to stock freezers with meals for partner organizations that serve food-insecure residents.

The fourteenth campaign will run through October 31 and benefit Shepherd’s Table, which marked its 40th anniversary last year and achieved the milestone of serving two million meals in 2021.

Upon signing up for Casseroles for a Cause, volunteers will receive an email confirmation containing instructions, helpful tips, and recipe suggestions.

Once the casseroles are ready, volunteers can schedule a pickup.

Those within 15 minutes of downtown Silver Spring can schedule a pickup; volunteers located farther away but with at least ten casseroles to donate can also arrange pickups.

Student Service Learning (SSL) hours are available for students who wish to volunteer.

More information and signup are available on the Silver Spring Cares website.
