Tlux Nail Lounge will have a soft opening at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, according to an announcement posted to Instagram on Monday evening.
The shop is adjacent to MOM’s Organic Market, which opened last month at the Atwell on Spring mixed-use development at the corner of Georgia Ave. and Spring St. in downtown Silver Spring.
During the soft opening, all services will be discounted by 15 percent, and exclusive early access offers will be available. Walk-ins will be accepted, but appointments are highly recommended.
The nail salon is managed by longtime Silver Spring resident Tris Le, who previously owned 5606 Nail Spa in D.C.’s Chevy Chase Circle neighborhood and is a licensed cosmetology instructor.
Le has worked in the nail industry for over fifteen years and won First Place for Nail Art in the Nailympia global competition in 2022.
“I have lived in Silver Spring since I was a young kid,” Le said to The MoCo Show in August. “I am so familiar with the downtown area and my dream is to bring a good vibe to the neighborhood. I’ve done a research that there is no other nail salon in the area specializing in nail art and luxurious spa. I hope I can make the new vibe.”
Tlux Nail Lounge is located at 8785 Georgia Ave. in downtown Silver Spring. According to the salon’s website, its operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
