The Gaithersburg-based Chinese Culture and Community Service Center will host a free Lunar New Year celebration at the Westfield Wheaton Mall on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., featuring activities and performances to celebrate the Year of the Snake.
The February 1 celebration will feature performances, including the Golden Dragon Parade, traditional lion and dragon dances, martial arts, and cultural performances.
Attendees can enjoy free ethnic clothing experiences and have their photos taken by CCACC Photography Club members.
Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to try traditional handicrafts, such as making paper lanterns and firecrackers, while learning about the unique aspects of Chinese craftsmanship.
