For the first time this year, the Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP) will offer free, safe rides on Super Bowl Sunday through its SoberRide program.
From 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, to 4 a.m. on Monday, February 10, the Tysons, Va.-based nonprofit will provide rides to help keep local roads safe from impaired drivers during this traditionally high-risk period.
SoberRide typically operates during the holiday season in December and January, as well as on St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Independence Day, and Halloween. According to WRAP, more than one-third of U.S. traffic deaths during the Super Bowl involve drunk drivers.
Residents aged 21 and older who plan to celebrate with alcohol can download the Lyft app and enter the SoberRide code in the app’s payment tab (under the ‘add Lyft Pass’ option) to receive up to $15 in free transportation home.
The 2025 Super Bowl SoberRide promo code will be posted at 6 p.m. today at wrap.org/soberride.
