Astro Lab Brewing announced the brewpub will hold its grand opening this Friday, Oct. 19, from 4 p.m. to midnight at its location at 8216 Georgia Ave.
In addition to its initial line up of craft beers, the celebration will include a special launch release.
The event will also feature offerings from Virginia’s Bold Rock Cidery and The Sweet Farm in Frederick County, which produces a variety of naturally fermented krauts.
The brewery held a Family and Friends night last week and had a soft opening with limited hours over the weekend. It will be open five days a weeks pouring IPAs, saisons, pilsners and lagers as well as seasonal brews and offering a limited selection of artisan foods.
The brewery’s hours will be 4-11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
