DC Fashion Week, a non-profit partnership of independent fashion designers, producers and models from throughout the Washington metropolitan area, has teamed with Ellsworth Place, which is sponsoring a variety of back-to-school events from 11 a.m-7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the mall.
Highlighting the program will be an all-ages fashion show from 2-3 p.m. on the ground floor of Ellsworth Place. The show will feature adult and youth models in back-to-school attire from various Ellsworth Place retailers and area designers. Guy Lambert of WPGC 95.5 FM will host the show.
“End of summer is a really exciting time for DC Fashion Week and for fashion lovers across the area,” said Ean Williams, the group’s executive director said in a press release. “This is the time when people get excited about looking their best for the new season, or school year, and when our designers create beautiful styles for every member of the family.”
The day’s events will begin with a social media-centric scavenger hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anyone completing the hunt within the allotted time will be entered into a drawing for a $500 gift card from Dave & Buster’s. The first 100 attendees will receive an Ellsworth Place tote bag.
The day will culminate with a free indoor screening of “Back to the Future” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Complimentary popcorn will be provided to moviegoers on a first-come, first-served basis.
