Target is holding two job fairs this week to hire employees in anticipation of opening two small-format stores on April 7, the company announced.
The company unveiled plans for a new store in Shepherd Park at 7828 Georgia Ave. in May of last year. The small-format stores are designed to serve urban populations and other dense neighborhoods where a full-size store won’t fit.
The job fair for the Shepherd Park store will be held Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-9, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Cultural Arts Center of Montgomery College at 7995 Georgia Ave.
“As we expand our presence across D.C., we also remain committed to providing meaningful opportunities for team members to build and develop valuable career skills. We are looking to hire more than 100 talented team members to help us provide an exceptional shopping experience for local guests at Target’s new Cleveland Park and Georgia & Eastern stores,” Jason Ramey, the company’s D.C. district team leader said in the announcement.
The Cleveland Park store will open at 3505 Connecticut Ave. N.W., across from the Cleveland Park Metro stop, and will hold its hiring event the same days and times at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert St. N.W.(near the Woodley Park Metro station).
Those interested can apply in advance of the job fairs online or apply in person. The company lists its employee benefits here.
