Bump ‘n Grind will be closing its location at 1200 East-West Highway on Wednesday, May 26, according to an email announcement from owner David Fogel. The shop will move its operations to Moorenko’s Ice Cream on Georgia Avenue, and plans are still on track to open a kiosk at the Silver Spring Library.
The Montgomery County Revenue Authority has scrapped the barbecue concept at Sligo Pit BBQ, according to Wayne Rohauer, the authority’s director of operations. The authority operates the county’s nine public golf courses, including Sligo Creek Golf Course at 9701 Sligo Creek Parkway. The group converted the clubhouse snack bar into Sligo Pit in the spring of 2019.
Silver Spring-based Patisserie Manuel will close its Montgomery Mall location on Sunday, March 28, according to a post on their Instagram page. Pastry Chef Claudia Olea opened her kitchen at 8810 Brookville Rd. in 2013 after graduating from L’Academie de Cuisine. That location will remain open for online ordering, pickup and delivery.

Capital One Financial Corp. will close two of its local branches later this year, a company spokesperson confirmed to the Source. The last day of operations for the locations at 8740 Arliss Street (Takoma Park Shopping Center) in Long Branch and at 8676 Georgia Ave. (corner of Georgia and Cameron Street) will be April 28.
