Takoma Park police are investigating a strong-arm carjacking that took place last night in the 200 block of Ethan Allen Avenue, near the Takoma Park Silver Spring Food Co-op. According to a community advisory, the police responded to the incident at about 8:45 p.m.
Detectives with the county’s Major Crimes unit have identified four suspects in eight recent carjackings and armed robberies in Silver Spring, the department announced today.

Police released surveillance photos of three male suspects in the incidents, which all occurred on the same day in December.
A Silver Spring woman wanted in a parental kidnapping case has been located and taken into custody, according to Montgomery County police. Ashley Spicer, age 35, and her nine-year-old daughter Israel “Kali” Burk were found in Atlanta, Ga. yesterday.
