A partnership of three individuals have applied for a liquor license to operate Shalla Restaurant and Bar at 8081 Georgia Ave., the former location of Balagger Lounge and, prior to that, Jackie’s Restaurant. The principals of Triple Brothers LLC are Belete Weletaw, Mekonnen Eshete, both of Washington, D.C., and Temesgen Gebeyehu, who lives in the Hillandale neighborhood of Silver Spring.

Suspect Charged in Ellsworth Place Robbery, Unrelated Carjacking

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section have arrested and charged Ezekiel David Harris-Goff, age 18, in an armed robbery Dec. 1 in Ellsworth Place Mall. In addition, Harris-Goff, of an unconfirmed address, has been charged in an unrelated armed carjacking that took place Nov. 2 on 16th Street in Silver Spring.

She loves a good scritch on the butt and will gladly “sit” for you, but good luck getting her to give you a “paw.” Any D.C. trail is a good place for her to release the zoomies, but the Rock Creek opening in Silver Spring is her go-to. Meeko will gladly run with you (or herd you) and then drop on her back for belly rubs. Don’t fall for it or you’ll gain another shadow.”
