“Re-Imagining the Holidays” Art Installation Lights Up Tonight

While there won’t be a lighting ceremony/party on Ellsworth Drive, this year’s “Re-Imagining the Holidays” art installation will be lit up beginning tonight (Nov. 13) through mid-January. This year’s installation on Fountain Plaza is a collection of colorful plexiglass snowflakes hung inside and out on a framework that’s wrapped in blue garland, topped with a crystal burst. Colorful floodlights and blinking lights will illuminate the structure for shoppers and other visitors to enjoy.

County Council Approves Executive Order Imposing Capacity Restrictions

The County Council yesterday approved Executive Order 122-20 from County Executive Marc Elrich that places restrictions on the number of people who can gather at various types of events, as well as be served indoors at restaurants and retailers. “We have been watching the daily number of new cases go up for more than two weeks and it’s unfortunately time to roll back some of our reopening steps in order to decrease the spike we are seeing,” said Elrich.
