Takoma Co-op Files Suit Against Developer, City in Access Dispute

The Takoma Park-Silver Spring Co-op has filed a lawsuit against the Neighborhood Development Company and the City of Takoma Park in a dispute over the co-op’s access to a city-owned parking lot and its ability to take deliveries. The lot at Takoma Junction is leased to NDC by the city, and NDC leases it to the co-op.

Takoma Park Police Investigating an Armed Robbery

Takoma Park police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 10:45 p.m on Saturday, April 24 near the intersection of Carroll and Tulip avenues. Police responded to a report and victim said as she stood at the intersection, a black sedan of unknown make and model stopped nearby.

Takoma Park Police File Additional Charges Against Suspect in Last Week’s Killings

The Takoma Park Police Department have filed additional charges against the off-duty Pentagon police officer accused in the killing of two men last week. David Hall Dixon has been charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and use of a firearm in a felony or violent crime for his involvement in assaulting a female on May 6, 2020.

Takoma Park Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Incident

The Takoma Park police are investigating a shooting that occurred this morning (April 7), resulting in two fatalities, according to a department press release. Officers responded at about 5 a.m. to multiple reports of shots fired in the parking lot area of the Takoma Overlook Condominiums at 7333 New Hampshire Ave.

“Hank and Hamilton are 8 month old brothers. Every day they say good morning to me by running up the stairs to meet me, happily meowing and purring. They sleep together and chase each other, stampeding around the house. Hank is very social and Hamilton is more shy, but regardless they are very loving and are open to pets and cuddles. (unless they are wrestling)”
