Takoma Park police are looking for public assistance to identify a shoplifting suspect, according to a community advisory. The individual is thought to be a serial shoplifter working in the area, according to Catherine Plevy, the department’s public information officer.
The City of Takoma Park is seeking entries of short original poems by local residents to be stamped on sidewalks in a new public art project. In addition to having their entry stamped into a local sidewalk, winners will also receive a $100 award.
The Takoma Park-Silver Spring Co-op will reopen at 2 p.m. today, according to a statement on the Co-op’s website. The Co-op closed on New Year’s Eve after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
“Even though she looks like a full-blooded Siamese, Kitkat was an alley rescue cat along with two siblings who don’t look anything like her. She used to sit on my shoulder when she was a kitten when I was working from home.
