Annual Winter Coat Drive Begins Monday

If you have winter coats, hats, or scarves that you don’t need anymore, you can donate them to the Takoma Park Police Department’s annual Winter Coat Drive:

The Takoma Park Police Department, in partnership with Adventist Community Services, is collecting clean, gently used warm coats in any size from infant to adult. The coats will be donated to people in need. This coat drive can make a difference in the lives of others by simply donating coats and jackets that are no longer needed. We will also accept clean, gently used gloves/mittens and scarves.

A large donation box will be placed in the lobby of the Takoma Park Police Department at 7500 Maple Avenue beginning Monday, November 2, and ending at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 18. Donations will be given to Adventist Community Services for distribution during and after the drive.
