Police Warn of Airbag Thefts in Takoma Park

The Takoma Park Police Department is warning residents of the theft of airbags in the area of New Hampshire Avenue:

“Takoma Park Police responded to the area of the 7300-7400 block of New Hampshire Ave around 10:50 pm on November 04, for subjects breaking car windows, possibly with a bat,” said Takoma Park Acting PIO Ron Hardy in an email sent to the Source.  “The complainant was unable to advise if the subjects were going into cars or not. They could only provide a lookout for a dark 4-door vehicle that was occupied by two people. Upon the arrival of the police, the suspect vehicle was gone. Multiple vehicles had smashed drivers windows and the driver’s side airbag was taken.”

Anyone that may have any information about this theft, can contact the Takoma Park Police Department at 301-270-1100.
