Takoma Park Police Investigating Armed Robbery

Investigators from the Takoma Park Police Department are asking for the public’s help with identifying suspects in a March 11 armed robbery.

“On March 11, 2021, at approximately 10:00 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7600 block of Maple Avenue (Parkview Towers Apartments – rear parking lot) for the report of an armed robbery,” according to Takoma Park Police spokesperson Catherine Plevy. “The victim indicated when she was parking her vehicle, there were four male subjects in a vehicle parked nearby with the engine running and another vehicle with two male subjects parked nearby also with the engine running.  The victim secured her vehicle and was walking towards the apartment building when she was approached by one of the male subjects who had been in one of the vehicles; he displayed a knife and demanded her property.  When the victim did not comply, an altercation ensued at which time the male subject pushed the victim to the ground and physically stole her property off of her person.

“The male subject was last seen getting into a white Toyota and it fled up Lincoln Avenue towards Carroll Avenue.  A black Sedan was following immediately behind that vehicle. Officers conducted a canvas of the area with negative results. The victim was not seriously physically harmed in the incident. A lookout for the subjects was provided to surrounding jurisdictions.”

Investigators are asking that anyone with information about this incident, or knows the identities of the subjects, contact the Takoma Park Police Department at (301) 270-1100 and refer to case #210009237.
