The Takoma Park Police Department is investigating an assault with a machete that occurred last night (March 24), according to a community advisory.
The incident began at about 10:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of University Boulevard across from Walgreens.
Unknown suspects outside the store assaulted the victim, who was not seriously injured; the attack continued after it moved to the store’s interior.
“One of the subjects assaulted the victim with a machete,” according to the advisory. “The subjects fled from the store entering a white Mitsubishi SUV MD #5CW8899 last seen driving behind the Walgreens in an unknown direction.”
The three subjects were described only as Hispanic males.
