Azalea City Nails to Open Today in Takoma Park

Azalea City Nails will open today in Takoma Park, according to an Instagram post from Main Street Takoma.

“Takoma’s newest business, @azaleacitynails opens today!”, reads the Instagram post. “Relax and be pampered in this beautiful spot. Waterless services, non-toxic polishes and a fair wage employer.”

Main Street Takoma announced earlier this month that Azalea City Nails would open at 7310 Carroll Avenue, at the Takoma Junction. The salon will focus on natural nails with waterless services and a line-up of non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free polishes.

Azalea City Nails, helmed by Cortney Palmiero, joins sister salons Scissor & Comb at 7009 Carroll Avenue and Georgie’s Barber at 6929 Laurel Avenue in Takoma Park. “I am thrilled to share my take on a neighborhood nail salon: fun, colorful, intimate, inclusive, and full of life,” Ms. Palmiero said in a statement earlier this month. “With the planet and the well-being of our team and our guests in mind, we’re excited to bring waterless services and a non-toxic polish line-up to Takoma Park. We’re proud to be a part of this community, and look forward to opening our doors for relaxation, inspiration, and an all-around feel-good time.”
