Several businesses in Old Takoma will hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies this Friday, October 15, according to an email announcement from Main Street Takoma.
“Our businesses are grateful for the ongoing support of the Takoma community, especially over the past 18 months,” the email reads. “During this time we have had many new businesses open and now it is time to celebrate!”
D.C. Ward 4 Councilmember Janeese Lewis-George will join Main Street Takoma for ribbon-cutting ceremonies this Friday at the following businesses:
10:00 a.m.: Lost Sock Roasters, 6833 4th St, NW
10:15 a.m.: Turning Natural, 6833 4th St, NW
10:30 a.m.: Donut Run, 6904 4th St, NW
10:45 a.m.: Smoke Island, 6906 4th St, NW
11:00 a.m.: el Sabor a Mexico, 353 Cedar St,NW
11:15 a.m.: Zen Renovations, 117 Carroll St, NW
11:30 a.m.: The UPS Store, 6955 Willow St, NW
Another ribbon-cutting event will be held on Saturday, November 13, with Takoma Park Mayor Kate Stewart and the Crossroads Development Authority joining Main Street Takoma at the following businesses:
