Takoma Park Police say they are investigating a burglary that occurred in the overnight hours last Friday at Brazilian Bakery, the second burglary at the shop since early January.
“On February 18, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue (Brazilian Bakery) for a commercial burglary that occurred sometime overnight,” reads an emailed community advisory. “Unknown suspect(s) broke into the business and stole property. Investigation continues under case #220007110. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301-270-1100.”
Brazilian Bakery was previously burglarized on January 3. “This is a reminder that times are hard in our communities but we will work even harder to keep [pursuing] our dreams,” the bakery posted on Instagram last month. “We hope you visit soon! We would love to see your friendly faces.”
Brazilian Bakery opened its Takoma Park location in 2020, according to The MoCo Show.
