A resident born and raised in Takoma Park has opened Bibi Abelle Studios, a tattoo studio, according to a report from Main Street Takoma.
Britteny Etienne “specializes in fine line tattooing and single needlework. Focusing on details, the majority of her work consists of realism and precise lettering,” according to the studio’s website.
The self-taught artist began working as a home-based business during the pandemic, and the business has expanded enough to warrant a studio.
Etienne previously worked in property management and did professional makeup and special effects on the side.
Bibi Abelle is located at 6935 Laurel Ave, Suite 206, and the hours of operation are Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Appointments can be made online.
