Carroll and Lincoln Avenues in Takoma Park to Become 4-Way Stop—For Now

Takoma Park planned to install stop signs yesterday at the intersection of Carroll and Lincoln avenues, according to a community advisory sent from the Takoma Park Police Department that was also posted on Facebook.

The intersection will become a four-way stop, something the city has requested for years.

Because Carroll Avenue is a state route (Rt. 195), the Maryland State Highway Administration had to approve the request.

“The Maryland State Highway Administration recently authorized installation on a temporary basis and will be monitoring conditions to determine if it will become permanent,” the advisory reads.
