Suspects Sought in Takoma Park Armed Robbery

Takoma Park Police are asking the public for any information regarding two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred May 29 in the 7100 block of Carroll Avenue.

“On May 29, at approximately 3:50 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7100 block of Carroll Avenue for the report of an armed robbery,” police spokesperson Cathy Plevy said in an emailed community advisory. “The victim was outside when a silver sedan (possibly a Honda) pulled up alongside her. Two suspects jumped out, one armed with a handgun, and demanded property. The victim partially complied with giving her property and the suspects forcibly took other property from her. The suspects got back into their vehicle and fled towards the District of Columbia. The victim was not seriously physically injured during the armed robbery.

“The suspects are described as (1) Driver – Black male, short hair, clean-shaven and thin build; (2) Passenger – Black male, short hair, short beard, last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and armed with a black handgun.”

Investigators are asking that anyone with information about this incident, or who knows the identities of the suspects, to contact the Takoma Park Police Department at (301) 270-1100 and refer to case #220023007.
