Takoma Police Offering $10,000 Reward in Recent Murder Case

The Takoma Park Police Department is now offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the person (or people) responsible for the murder of Muhammed Hamid, according to a press release.

Hamid was shot and killed on July 16 in the parking lot of Advanced Auto Parts on New Hampshire Avenue, where he was working as mobile mechanic.

A suspect was seen fleeing the parking lot and getting into a white SUV parked on Eastern Avenue. The SUV then drove down New Hampshire into Washington.

The suspect was described as Black male wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and a dark baseball cap.
