Takoma Park Street Festival Returns October 2

The Takoma Park Street Festival will return for its 41st year on Sunday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., city officials announced.

Over 150 booths extending all along Carroll Ave. will feature vendors selling original artwork, prints, ceramics, silk-screening, bath and body care, jewelry, woodworking, textiles, leather goods, and other items.

A variety of food options from Takoma restaurants, food trucks, and festival favorites will be available at Takoma Streetery on Laurel Avenue. During the festival, the Takoma Park Farmers Market runs along with 25 additional vendors in an adjacent parking lot. There is an entrance to the farmers market at 6931 Laurel Avenue.

The festival will also feature performances from 19 acts on three stages.

It is possible to enter all along the festival route, but there are two main entrances at either end:

  • Carroll Avenue at Eastern Avenue, NW: Take Metro’s Red line to the Takoma station or park in the Metro parking lot. The entrance is 3 blocks away.
  • Carroll Avenue at Philadelphia Avenue: Free parking lot hosted by the TPSS Co-op at 201 Ethan Allen Avenue. The festival entrance is a half-block away.
